Current Employee - Interpretive Specialist

I have been working at Houston Zoo full-time for more than a year

Pros

Love working around the people and the animals. Most of the leadership is amazing at what they do and care about their employees!

Cons

Strict about punctuality, appearance, rules of organization. Be prepared to follow rules to the T.

Current Employee - Retail Sales Associate

I have been working at Zoo Atlanta part-time for more than a year

Pros

flexible with your schedule. Managers are professional and understanding. Great for high schoolers and freshman/sophomore college students. Friendly and safe environment. Great Staff and team... members all around.

Cons

The pay is somewhat decent. Some of the policies enforced can get annoying. Expect long hours of standing. I would not turn this into a career unless you start as a manager of a department.
