Depending on the department/line of business, there really can be a balance between work and life. Managers are also often supportive of advancement and promotion.
Salary is wanting, that is for sure. It's the "price of entry" for the additional benefits of working here but KP seems to be perfectly fine paying compa-ratios at about 88-95% of market value.... Annual pay increases never keep up with COLA or inflation, so the longer you stay with the organization, the further your compa-ratio drops.
