Featured Review

Former Employee - Human Resources Associate

I worked at IMF full-time for more than 8 years

Pros

Surrounded by wonderful people from all over the world trying to make a positive impact for the benefit of the global community

Cons

surrounded by so many smart people, it can be a little intimidating

Former Contractor - Researcher

I worked at The World Bank for more than 10 years

Pros

I could see that our work was actually working toward making the world a better place. I wasn't sure this was going to be the case when I first joined. Intellectual honesty was considered paramount... in my department.

Cons

It is a very flat organization, and Managers generally come from having been a sector expert with nowhere else to go in terms of career progression. This means it's Hit or Miss in terms of your... manager. I got lucky on this front.

Advice to Management

Try to listen harder to the ones who are not loud.
