Pros

For Consulting Services - Exposure to a number of high-value projects pretty quickly - After building trust within the team, you are given opportunities to have client-facing time - Breadth of... project types really help you learn and add value. This also helps you figure out what you enjoy / hate, and will help you throughout your career in Life Sciences - Flat structure - senior level employees don't have offices, and they are highly accessible - Highly merit-based, with opportunities for promotion / progression twice a year - There is a strong feedback culture to help you develop and learn

Cons

For Consulting Services - Pay is not as good as competitors in strategy consulting. There is also a tiered school salary system if you're straight out of school ("preferred" schools - aka Ivy league... schools - have a higher initial salary at each position, and promotions / progressions are a percent increase in your salary so this could affect your salary for your entire career at IQVIA) - The staffing model is that you are expected to be on multiple projects at all time. For some people, this can lead to stress as project timelines shift and you have to mentally switch between projects. This can often be mitigated through communication, but can lead to some heavy weeks.

Advice to Management

IQVIA is a huge company, and we don't hear much about the larger organization in Consulting Services. Try to break down the silos (as much as possible) and provide some opportunities for social... interaction between groups. Each group feels like an entirely different company. Look seriously at what competing consultancies are doing regarding compensation and staffing. If you want to compete against them, you need to get and keep your strongest resources.
