I have been working at ITHAKA full-time

Pros

12% annual lump-sum payment to retirement fund with no matching requirement. 4 weeks vacation annually plus sick days, personal days and holidays. On whole, staff are enthusiastic about the work... ITHAKA does and this shows in the interactions. Company pivoted very smoothly to 100% work from home during Covid and has been hugely flexible about future return-to-office plans. This is a big bonus for working parents/care-givers.

Cons

Small company (under 500 employees) with limited room to progress unless your aim is management.

I have been working at Portico Benefit Services full-time for less than a year

Pros

The size of the company gives employees the opportunity to jump in and try new things, which is great for career development and ensures that no two days are the same. Management is supportive and... flexible. They realize that we're all human and understand that sometimes work has to take a back seat, while also providing opportunities to grow within your position. The benefits are amazing and the salary is competitive.

Cons

Sometimes projects can get bottlenecked in the approval process causing work to be re-done.

Advice to Management

By flattening out the team structure and trusting your employees at each level you could alleviate some of the dead time or repetitive work caused by the approval process.
