Pros
• Great pay • Great team to work with • Work from home & flexible • Challenging environment — you will learn a lot
Cons
• From the US perspective, no benefits can be tough if you don't have a good option for affordable health insurance (the pay makes up for it if you do have a good option) • Constant change can make... things exciting, but it can sometimes be difficult to keep up • Remote, asynchronous work is not for everyone. The long, difficult assessment process is not for everyone. Time-tracked contract work is not for everyone. These may be a pro for some and a con for others, so you need to be honest with yourself to see if this is something you want to get into.
Pros
Thumbtack sales environment is a golden gem among a pile of charcoal when it comes to the sales industry. The leadership is transparent and listens to its employees whether it’s a small request or a... larger topic. They have a very ethical and professional approach to things and hold themselves to a high standard that I admire. They give their employees autonomy in their jobs and it’s fully remote permanently. The culture and environment is not something you can put a price on. The topics discussed behind closed doors consist of empathy and strategy to be better leaders than already executed. Great place to work and amazing career opportunities. This place clearly cares about its employees and it chooses a mix of personalities for leadership with different perspectives to make a complete and sensible picture.
Cons
It’s still a private newer company (last 12 years) sales department is even newer so there are lots of changes and pivots. To work here you just be flexible and able to embrace change.
