Former Employee - Packer

I worked at International Paper full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Good working conditions bonuses catered dinners for holidays Christmas bounus etc.

Cons

12 hour shifts sometimes can be extremely humid in the summer months

Advice to Management

Reduction in scrap. New processes and implementation of new operation procedures

Former Intern - Engineer

I worked at Sulzer for less than a year

Pros

- The jobs are interesting and challenging. There are a lot of machines that come through the shop, there are unique jobs every few months. - Working a shop environment has the benefit of seeing the... project you're working on. Being able to easily walk to and see your projects goes a long way - Very experienced senior management. In general, is a diverse team. The company has a small business feeling, meeting the CEO and upper management is not uncommon.

Cons

Work/Life balance varies a lot by which division you are in. Some are more relaxed than others. 50 hr work weeks are typical.
