Featured Review

Former Employee - ITS Onsite Technician

I worked at Iowa State University part-time

Pros

People are great, If you work hard you are rewarded, management is laid back and doesn't micro manage as long as you do your job well.

Cons

Pretty much Zero formal on-boarding training. There is a hand book but its vague. You learn on the job and if you're not a "go getter" you may struggle.

Advice to Management

Give raises based on performance not time committed. This may help you keep more skilled techs for longer periods of time.

Current Employee - Social Worker II

I have been working at State of Iowa full-time for more than a year

Pros

The ability to help families in tough times.

Cons

There are lots of families that need help and it can be a challenge to balance all of their needs.

Advice to Management

Spend more time on the front end training new staff.
