If you keep your head down and do more than what is expected you might have a reasonable chance of keeping your job.

Our insurance is a joke. It might be time to move to Canada. Over time is frowned on unless you have special permission
Advice to Management
Try to listen to your employees. Don't look at experienced help as a drain by replacing them with younger less experienced employees just because you feel it will safe you money.
