Former Intern - Vibro-Acoustics Analyst

I worked at Kennedy Space Center/ Cape Canaveral AF Station for less than a year

Pros

worked at Kennedy Space Center in Launch Services Program. Absolutely loved this group - they made me feel welcome from day 1. No expectations for me; they wanted to see how I performed when given... responsibilities. I could do as much as I wanted, and I wanted to do a lot to impress the people there. Positive people all around. Had to move for personal reasons, but I'd stay there if I could. Amazing to be able to see the launches. Beach is nice too.

Cons

For the internship, it would be nice to have flexibility to move departments. I heard this was possible for some, but it's not commonplace.

Advice to Management

Intern managers - If possible, try to change the format to encourage interns to move departments. Could boost the retention rates.
