I worked at Keppel full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Decent pay and benefits, opportunities for learning and development. CEO is generally well regarded.

Cons

Too focused on visible results. Lack of consideration of managerial ability when promoting staff. Some in management are poor managers but good at self promotion. Staff are afraid to speak out for... fear of being marked. This leads to resentment and unhealthy climate in some departments.

Advice to Management

Focus on long term results instead of short term deliveries when promoting and rewarding staff. Bad people managers should not be rewarded as they harm the company in the long term.
