Current Employee - Sales Manager

I have been working at Kimball Midwest full-time for more than a year

Pros

#1) The culture- Culture has become a cliche poster board quote in most businesses, however when I started at Kimball and after just over a year with the company I see that when strong leadership... drives culture, and each level of an organization owns their piece of making the culture the kind of company you want to work for and companies do business with. 2) Work/Life Balance- Kimball affords it’s employees the ability to make a good living while not sacrificing their family to do it. 3) Pay- If you believe you are a performer this is an excellent opportunity for you. If your someone who Is interested in average or a high floor/low ceiling career Kimball may not be for you.

Cons

Benefits are not bad but some are still evolving to catch up with the rapid growth of the company.

Advice to Management

Keep believing in the vision that has worked for years. Keep treating each and every employee like family and the results will continue to grow in a major way as they have since the beginning.

I worked at GeoShack full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

I worked has a survey consultant in the Dallas area for five years and enjoyed every minute. They have a great team and support staff. Some of the benefits besides the best commission percentage in... the business is the medical, dental, vision, life insurance and 401k plans is the owner is involved in many charities and whatever you donate Geoshack will match and if you have your own charity they match that as well. That just shows how much they care for their employees. Also they take the top sales people for the year (You and spouse) to a exquisite vacation destination. This is just a few of the benefits of working for the Largest Topcon dealer in the nation.

Cons

This is a commission based company. If you don't want to work then you will not do well at this company. You must be self motivated and hard working.
