Current Intern - Summer Analyst

I have been working at MUFG for less than a year

Pros

Peers and managers give this organization an advantage over competitors. The environment is truly welcoming, with opportunities to ask tough questions of senior leadership during scheduled leadership... talks, with interns joining virtually across the country and in person where possible. I was handed significant responsibilities from day 1, with defined objectives and autonomy to achieve them.

Cons

The organization is undergoing a significant transformation and there are instances where things sometimes fall through the cracks, but the colleagues more than make up for it.

Advice to Management

Line of sight messaging will go a long way in helping colleagues understand changes.

Risk Management Intern

I worked at Mitsubishi UFJ Securities (USA) for less than a year

Pros

Intern program was small, but extremely helpful, had a one week in class training and then we could rotate throughout the different parts of the company during our time there.

Cons

It is a rather small firm, so it was hard to develop a comprehensive understanding however the in class training compensated for that.
