Best platform for big data. No need for additional clusters for HBase and Kafka. It is all in one platform.


API's for MapR-DB JSON could be improved.

- independent work and full responsibility always backed up by your manager - scope of work more challenging, complex and senior than your job title would suggest as there are no “team leaders” and... everyone is simply equally important - they expect you to be smart and self-driven and everyone working there is - very good work climate, constructive, human and fair - great team, great senior management that trusts their employees, flat hierarchy - generous pension scheme - high annual company bonus - private health insurance - 24h psychological support hotline - life insurance - external HR person to support employees available - perfect office location - great work-life balance - no chitchat office, no finger-pointing - people enjoy working there and many of them have been working there for many years or even decades - supportive MD with the right vision - quick implementation, changes and internal support if mistakes are spotted or e.g. IT support needed - true team work - no obvious office politics, which is a huge plus! - good, interesting and fair products - in comparison to competitors’ portfolio much better and more user friendly which makes it fun to promote ECA’s services


- scope of work more than your job title would suggest - so it might be a bit difficult when you are looking for a new job - starting salary low, but annual rises - sponsored gym or sport... activities cannot be chosen, there is a certain gym you have to go to - no flex work policy - outdated internal CRM system, but this will be looked at some point - only 25 days annual leave no matter how long you have worked for the company and you have to take three days over Christmas period - sick pay and maternity/paternity leave could be improved

Advice to Management

Continue what you are doing. Best management I have worked for so far.
