Current Employee - Senior Survey Researcher

I have been working at Mathematica full-time

Pros

Great work life balance. With the flexibility to work from home you are truly able to have the best of both worlds.

Cons

At times the work distribution gets impacted due to project schedule shifts.

Advice to Management

Continue to hire junior staff to assist with work flow.

Former Employee - Senior Director, Business Development

I worked at Hanover Research full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Overall, I LOVED my time at Hanover and I'd recommend employment there for anyone who likes a fun, dynamic work environment that will challenge them on a daily basis. Below are a few additional... "pros" to consider: Awesome team members - smart, driven, energetic, fun loving; can't emphasize enough how amazing the people who work there are. Top notch Strong company culture, very inclusive Ample career growth opportunities Competitive compensation Great managers/leaders Compelling product Good work/life balance Solutions oriented business that allows for creativity within ones role to achieve the goal

Cons

Not too much to draw attention to here. My one criticism (or maybe just brutal honesty) would be there is a lot of pressure to hit quarterly revenue targets and missing your targets consistently can... put you on the hot seat and really hurt you financially. Territory can also have an impact on your performance although things certainly got better in recent years.

Advice to Management

Try and align associate and director goals more. They aren't both oriented towards revenue and can lead to inefficiency and competing interests. I'd also suggest emphasizing quality over quantity... when it comes to meeting volume. Requisite volume is a necessity for Hanover's business but in my opinion it's a bit out of balance and an emphasis on higher quality will lead to more revenue. Lastly, try and incorporate as much feedback as possible from your sales reps. They're the engine of Hanover's business and having regular temperature checks can go a long way,
