Former Employee - Instructor

I worked at Mathnasium part-time for less than a year

Pros

The fun environment both with the students and instructors. There are a lot of guidelines so you know usually what to do and what not do.

Cons

Not much room for advancement in terms of your position.

Former Employee - Tutor

I worked at Tutoring Club part-time for more than a year

Pros

- Reviewing concepts from high school science and math classes was a plus - Rewarding feeling of helping a student learn a concept - Other tutors there to help you if you can't get the answer to a... question right away

Cons

- Since its a smaller branch, there weren't many tutors available. So when a tutor called out sick or couldn't make a shift then it was a scramble trying to get the children with a tutor
