Current Employee - RN ICU

I have been working at Mayo Clinic full-time for more than 8 years

Pros

Mayo's compensation for nursing staff is tops in the valley. They truly care about the patients and staff by acuities. This leads to nursing having greater job satisfaction and not getting burned... out with overwhelmed staffing assignments. Typical shift on med/Surg floor 3:1, ICU 1:1 or 2:1. There are always plenty of resources around to help out. You can tell Mayo Clinic puts the money they have back into the facility to create an unparalleled working environment.

Cons

The upward movement is slower because people don't leave once they work there. Pay for supervisors and management could be higher for job requirements.

"Great employer"Feb 11, 2019

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at HonorHealth full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

HonorHealth is a great employer. They have given me everything I have asked for in a job. I work closely with medical staff and hospital administration and feel like I am truly part of a team and I... feel my input is taken seriously. I even like their cafeteria food. Their salary and benefits are quite competitive. I would highly encourage anyone who is even considering working at HH to apply. They have a very strong presence in the community. Note that HH is a non-profit organization.

Cons

It takes time for change to happen, though I would assume this is true for any large organization.

Advice to Management

Keep hiring great people like you are already doing. As long as you keep putting patients first, you will keep succeeding.
