What Employees Say
I worked at Empire Marketing Executives full-time for more than a year
-The offices are beautiful in both New York and LA. 24 hour fitness center, food was catered almost daily and despite not loving sitting at a desk for 8 hours most days the people were great.... -Good base salary for the location with quarterly bonuses -Tuition reimbursement -Urged to think outside the box and to work in teams -Had a chance to meet with EME's CEO and many high ranking execs of our clients almost monthly -Very little micromanagement -Most department openings are offered to internal employees first, so if sales or customer service, or other roles aren't a great fit existing employees are typically looked at first for new openings if its a better fit for their skill set
- Very long work hours, most projects had aggressive deadlines so although the work day is a standard 8-4pm it wasnt uncommon to come into the office on a Saturday or to stay until 6pm - You have to... be working for 4 months before department changes are considered - Traffic in Los Angeles is miserable so It would have been nice to have to option to work from home a couple days a week but this was only allowed for senior account executives.
Advice to Management
The laid back vibe in the office was great and appreciated by the employees, definitely something that separated EME from some of the other firms I worked with. Also it would have been nice for the... account executive employees to have more opportunities to collaborate with the tech teams who manage the software development and social media marketing. I think that these types of collaboration happening more formally would drive more business. Also Erin the CMO was an amazing trainer!
