Current Employee - Conflcits Atty

I have been working at McKinsey & Company full-time for more than a year

Pros

Lots of developmental opportunities. Most folks really care about you - have made a lot of great friends here. Incredible exposure at a young age.

Cons

Long work hours - lack of focus on lifestyle from many older partners at the Firm

Advice to Management

Focus on retention - this means adjusting scope sometimes, having bigger teams, etc. Better lifestyle for all will drive the future growth of the Firm

Executive Vice President

I worked at March Group

Pros

Autonomy, compensation, commute, loose supervison and management.

Cons

Limited communcation/interaction with other departments. Ownership.

Advice to Management

Make decsions on a reasoned, well-thought, well-informed basis. Keep much tighter controls on the growth of costs. See AND USE advice from your senior, seasoned executives.
