Current Employee - Head of Total Rewards

I have been working at Mercury Systems full-time for less than a year

I have been fortunate to work for some very good companies in the past in multiple industries. However, I have not ever worked for a company that is as energetic as Mercury Systems. What makes it... so energetic is that there is so much optimism about growth here starting from the top and permeating throughout the entire organization. A standing item in each discussion with senior leaders is not about how we are rewarding our employees today (from both a compensation and benefits perspective) but how are we going to reward them when we have doubled in size and even tripled. It is a lot of fun working in this type of environment where successful growth is so ingrained in the culture of the Company.

Working for a company in a high growth mode can be demanding at times, however, support from leadership, a high emphasis on personal development and the importance placed on culture and values truly... does make Mercury Systems a Great Place to Work.

Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing and keep this place personal. A good example of this is our CEO's presentation to new hires when he explains his start as a welder at a shipyard in England. He has... grown a lot since then and employees can do the same at Mercury Systems.

I worked at Micronetics

The co-workers are all very friendly, treat each other like family member. Laid back working environment, don't request mandatory overtime.

Do not have big space to grow technically, lacked senior engineers' guidence. A lot of time need to learn by yourself, which wasn't really a bad thing. If you are a self learner, you can definitely... learn a lot on your own. If you expect to learn from the senior engineers, you probably will be disappointed. Since a lot of high frequency circuit design knowledge comes from years' of experience, it's really sometime for the seniors to tell you why they did it this way. They just knew from their experience.

Advice to Management

Management can support a little more in providing employees with job related training courses. Update necessary softwares to support engineering designs.
