Featured Review

I have been working at Meta for less than a year

Pros

I've jumped around in my career and Facebook is without a doubt the best company I've ever worked at. The company culture is so supportive and empowering, and it's so refreshing to be treated like an... adult. From Day 1 you're assumed to be good at your job (as opposed to most at companies where you spend years trying to prove yourself) and your opinions are genuinely valued. It's a great place to grow and learn, and determine your own career trajectory.

Cons

There is a lot to learn and get acclimated to when you first start. But there are so many resources and trainings that you're not left to your own devices. Disappointed in the name change. In theory... the general public know FB became Meta but they don't seem to make the connection when you say you work at Meta and it's not as impressive. I know this sounds entitled, but I'm in recruitment and the FB name had much more sway with passive candidates.

Advice to Management

So far my experience with management has been great. Keep it up!

Former Employee - Ui\Ux Designer

I worked at Whitepages full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

- Lots of room for you to grow, make an impact, and have ownership - If you want to pivot and explore another role within the org, you'll have the opportunity to do so here - Flexibility, caring,... and understanding from the CEO down - Very collaborative, communicative environment - If you have feedback, concerns, etc. they actually listen and want to hear you out - No drama or weird office politics - The company adapted well when COVID hit. The CEO is open-minded, progressive, and trusts her team - Lots of transparency

Cons

- Work/life balance could sometimes be tricky - No 401K matching (at the time I left—this may have changed!) - The only reason I left is because I needed to grow more as a designer, and at the time... I left, we did not have the level of design leadership within the org that I needed.
