Former Employee - Research and Development Engineer

I worked at MicroVention full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

This was by far one of the best jobs I've ever had and really glad that I got the opportunity to work here. My manager was great and always looked out for me in terms of how I can move forward in my... career. I will miss working with her.

Cons

Only con was the distance for me. I couldn't do the 50 mile commute one way any more.

Advice to Management

Great!

Former Employee - Software Engineer

I worked at Spireon full-time for more than a year

Pros

I worked at Spireon as a Software Engineer for two years and had an amazing experience. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better company to work for. I learned tons and made real friends.... -Supportive and friendly team -Happy hours every other week -team lunches -flexible work hours (work from home when needed) -good PTO (3 weeks) -friendly and engaging management that are open to your ideas -engaging work but not overly stressful -Starting to work with newer technologies (AWS) -bonuses twice a year

Cons

A decent amount of legacy code. They are working to get rid of it, but it’s still there and needs to be worked with.

Advice to Management

Set a clear path for employees to advance in their career/get promotions.
