I have been working at Amazon full-time for less than a year
The Amazon cloud SW development tooling is excellent, supports multiple programming languages, and it's used by almost all teams developing cloud services at Amazon. That means really low friction to... creating the core code (the stuff that adds value), minimal time with ops, and a high emphasis on operational excellence.
Hard to build bond with my team, but that is probably mostly due to remote development instead of in-person.
Advice to Management
