Current Employee - Operations Manager

I have been working at Mount Sinai Health System full-time for more than a year

Pros

Mount Sinai Health Partners, their population health group, is made up of competent, hard-working people, and led by a talented, humble leadership team. Though only some roles are "9-to-5", managers... care about work-life sustainability. MSHP is one of the population health leaders in NYC, which is motivating. It's usually clear to staff how their contributions are part of the greater strategy. Office space in midtown is way above average for a non-profit health system role. If you want to work for a health system doing population health in NYC, this is the one you want to work for.

Cons

MSHP is split between two locations, and some of our work has us going to other locations (e.g. our scattered hospitals) as well; resourcing constraints are not too bad, but definitely different from... a for-profit setting; sometimes the slow pace in our healthcare context can be demotivating.
