I have been working at NVIDIA full-time


- I have worked in many big tech companies in the past but Nvidia is different and its own charm. Great engineers work here. It is growing exponentially. - R&D oriented, Advance technology,... Future vision. Quality over Quantity. - Good medical benifits, food, 401K, office shuttles. - Strong leadership. - Pay for performance culture.


- All bonus in the form of RSUs only. - Getting to SC office is taking more time these days due to traffic.

Advice to Management

- Management should motivate employees to get new technology training. Workload doesn't allow it.

I worked at AImotive full-time for more than a year


- Very good company culture - Frequent team buildings - Free fruits, free lunch, free gym membership - The salaries are very competitive, compared to other companies in the Central/Eastern... European region. - Everyone is very smart - Possible to get generous raises if someone works well - One free conference visit each year (you can visit the USA, Canada, Korea, Japan, etc.) - Company phone after one year - Possible to get company car, but only after 3 years and for selected leaders. - Unique virtual share program (most companies in this geographical area don't give out shares to coworkers) - The number of in-company trainings are on the raise, free Python, C++ trainings. If you complete the CUDA or the AI courses (self learning in your freetime), you can get a raise. - Flexible time (10:00-15:00 base time, other time flexible) - Some products of the company reached or will soon reach mass production, so there is a chance that it will really play big in the automotive market


- Self driving is obviously a risky area, in the worst case you have to find a new job after a few years (no big deal for me) - The virtual share program is too risky, because if you leave the... company or you are fired before the company is sold, you loose all your shares - Not all workers can see their career path clearly - The company car seems to be reachable by only a few selected people after 3 years. It would be nice to have well defined steps to get it. - FAANG companies can pay more in some western countries :-)

Advice to Management

- Keep up the good work :) - Probably the career development plan would be a nice plus - I've seen some good juniors switching to other companies in Budapest, I think that it could be prevented by... proactively raising their salary or promising them promotions. - Actively supporting teaching at universities would be nice. I've heard from a colleague, that at a big financial company it actually counts as work. Probably dedicating a few hours each week to teaching would be nice for some people who like to do that.
