I have been working at NVR full-time for more than a year
Higher salary than any other local businesses. Great training and opportunities for advancement. Great office environment (I know this is highly location specific but my office is incredible.) I look... forward to going to work every single day. Sick time is flexible and compassionately handled, as is medical leave. The company is hugely focused on retention and even if you struggle, will work on improvements instead of dropping the axe. The collaborative coaching process replacing dreaded performance reviews has been fantastic. Work life balance is respected even though the job can be intense at times.
Monthly pay is absolutely inhumane. I know most people have two income households but for those of us who don’t have a spouse as an equal earner, it can be brutal. I am not overly impressed with the... health plan offered - the monthly expense and out of pocket costs are a strain. I personally wish there were more local growth opportunities to strive towards as a loan processor other than an eventual upgrade to loan officer - underwriting, closing, etc. are all centralized out of state. Obviously not a problem if you’re able to relocate but I feel like years down the line my options will be limited locally.
Advice to Management
Keep up the great work. The continual focus on employee training and retention are encouraging and show that NVR really cares about employee happiness and growth well beyond the lip service most... companies pay to these concepts.

Good pay for full-time employees, decent benefits, enjoyable working environment, challenging projects, and opportunity to move up by exhibiting a good work ethic and positive attitude.
Long work days if you want to be successful.
Advice to Management
Get rid of the negative people who bring down the morale. Allow vacation time to carry over to the 1st quarter of the following year or switch to a PTO system. Please show up to the social events... that you arrange for your employees (parties, outings, etc.). Do a better job of announcing employee hiring and employee departures.
