"Great Company"Nov 13, 2019

Current Employee - Staff Accountant

I have been working at National Oilwell Varco full-time for more than a year

Pros

The people are laid back and friendly. The company values the employee. Great environment

Cons

Difficult to get promote within

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

I worked at Enbridge full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Great people, good company, solid values, good benefits, work life balance. Safety is a #1 priority in everything they do. Senior leadership is heavily involved in the well being of their... employees.

Cons

Too many organizational changes. Seen great people let go due to re-org changes, although this has got better over time.

Advice to Management

People leaders need the appropriate training and time in the saddle and shouldn't be handed a position "Because there wasn't anyone else" - The position was never listed and came as a surprise to the... whole team due to a shift in management. Practice whats preached on retaining good talent. Go Line 3!!
