I worked at Optym full-time for more than a year

Pros

- Learning: doing cutting edge, challenging and interesting projects here at Optym. So, lots of opportunities to learn and grow. Of course it depends on you: show your interest and the management... will gladly help you to grow. - People: very friendly folks. They do their best to support you in learning and accomplishing your tasks. Full support from team members. - Management: Optym is going through some changes which might be painful, but management is doing their best to support the employees and provide a friendly and prosperous work environment. - Working area: very clean and neatly designed buildings, cafe and cubicles. - Benefits: they offer very good health care packages and their 401K match is really good.

Cons

Gainesville is a small city and probably not the best place to grow your business. Makes it hard to attract talents as well.

Advice to Management

You need more experienced developers to help you improve the quality of your products. Hiring more senior people has started, but it should happen faster. Business team is always between... developers and clients. This make the business learning and knowledge transfer very inefficient and slow. You should let developers learn from and talk to clients directly. You need an office in a big city.

Pros

Working at 352 is the best job I've ever had. The Leadership is amazing - they truly work to LEAD the company and not just boss people around. They make sure employees feel valued, empowered, and... heard. Teams and other people in the company always work to help each other out. Everyone is very supportive. The culture is great and makes for an inviting atmosphere where you want to go into work. If you're a team player, hard worker, and have a great attitude, this is the place you want to be because that's what you're surrounded by every day here.

Cons

There are 3 offices in different cities, so knowing what's going on in those offices is hard if you don't work with people on those teams. This isn't a place where you can climb up a ladder if that's... what you're looking to do. There is focus on education and training advancement, but it doesn't mean your title or role will change (not necessarily a con if you aren't looking for that though).

Advice to Management

THANK YOU for listening to your people and creating an atmosphere that encourages creativity. Keep it up because we see and recognize when you do.
