Current Employee - Analyst

I have been working at PNC Financial Services Group full-time for more than a year

Pros

Family-friendly - amazing leave for new parents; friendly cooperative work culture; lots of opportunities for learning.

Cons

Pay is decent, but not great. High-deductible health plans.

I have been working at Protective Life

Pros

Benefits and pay. Opportunity to work from home. Up front PTO. Chill/non stressful atmosphere. Two days out the week to wear jeans (depending on your dept, you may be able to wear them daily!).... Covered parking. Great cafeteria. Free, unlimited coffee and green tea. Nice desk/cubicle space that you’re free to personalize. Easy work if you’re a natural at multitasking. Opportunity for yearly raises and growth. Reasonable “point” system. On site gym, nurse, massage therapist and free OTC medications. Healthy environment if you’re into fitness & eating healthy. No one hovering over your shoulders as you work. Tuition reimbursement.

Cons

30mins for lunch , only because the office is so big, walking to the cafe or break room alone takes 15mins. My advise is to invest in your own personal microwave and mini fridge if u need it and eat... at your desk.

Advice to Management

Continue to make employees happy, happy employees make for great customer service and a greater work ethic. I personally asked several coworkers what they believed to be a disadvantage working here... and they had nothing negative to say! Those coworkers love their job and most importantly don’t mind being there. I also look forward to waking up and working for Protective!
