I have been working at Pegasystems full-time for less than a year


Pega is an amazing place to work. The minds you are surrounded by are truly brilliant, and the company culture is very conducive to cohesion, collaboration, and teamwork. The product is also... excellent - its raw capabilities far surpass that of many competitors, with lots of money being put into R&D and engineering. Pega stays up to date on the latest market trends, making sure the product reflects what is required and what can further transform the business applications space. Acquisitions are a part of Pega's growth strategy, but in a far more effective manner than I've seen in other organizations. When a technology is acquired, Pega works very diligently to make sure the tech is aligned with our platform, and re-platformed if necessary. This keeps the company from becoming disjointed and silo'd, which can be a huge issue for many players in the space in regards to acquisition. Pega's mantra is clearly to have the absolute best product, and allow its power to fuel the company's growth - which is happening at a staggering rate right now. Enablement and onboarding are very effective processes, in which new personnel will quickly get acclimated to the company. It's not easy, but it quickly weeds out those who are not prepared to work for Pega.


Pega would definitely do well to pour some more resources into marketing. The company isn't well known outside of the business software space, and the likes of Oracle, Salesforce, Microsoft, etc.... will always lead considerations by potential clients. This is easy to combat given the sheer power of the product and the great minds at the company, but we start off on a less than optimal foot, being more of an underdog when we win a deal. Luckily, this doesn't detract from the sales process, and our company's strategy and goals are very effective, with employees that are tightly aligned to success. That said - don't come here if you expect to walk into a deal and win it based solely on brand name. It will take proving Pega's capabilities to win a deal - which, again, is easy, because the product is so powerful - but you will need to put in the legwork to show large corporations why their money is well spent on Pega.

Very effective leadership strategy, with a culture that makes your employees feel empowered and enabled for growth and success. Keep this culture alive and I strongly believe Pega will see a very... bright future.

Career development and progression. This company risks losing great talent to other orgs because they can be very slow to move on this front. It is definitely getting better, with many managers and... senior leadership making this a growing priority.
