Current Employee - Customer Service Specialist

I have been working at Progressive Insurance full-time for less than a year

Pros

Everyone here is so nice, and is more than willing to help you. I had 6 weeks of sometimes intense, classroom setting training and it was so great to start out and be apart of a job that actually... cares. They very much rely on values here, which is so awesome. I love it here. The work/life balance is good too.

Cons

It can be tough at times, but you have all of your resources there for you.

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Sterling Insurance Group full-time for more than a year

Pros

Happy yet serious work environment, many perks including 401k, amazing health benefits, profit sharing, and most importantly - growth from with-in.

Cons

For me, I need a little more space to be me and spread my wings, I want to put my own creative spin on things, great career but doesn't necessarily jive well with my personality. I need to stretch,... the confines of a cubicle, and fickle management can make it slightly uncomfortable. However, what I have learned in the short period of time coupled with the bonds and friendships built I can honestly say I have nothing but appreciation.

Advice to Management

If you want more dedication and quality you are going to have pay more. We live in an expensive world. A lot is expected from us at Sterling, you will get all of that and more along with a positive... attitude if you can be a tad more generous ACROSS the board. It's disappointing to hear what others make knowing you are putting in the same amount of work if not more, and they are making nearly double. Knowledge is power and that is exactly what this position provided me with! No regrets. simply grateful! I do at times feel management can overlook hard work, they can make split second decisions about some of their employees and be completely wrong. IF they are truly interested in knowing productivity - they have ability to run activity reports in our system and see for themselves who is truly working and who isn't. Aside from that, I've been acknowledge by employers, they have been flexible with me, and they trusted me and invested in me. That did wonders for my esteem. Keep up the good work.
