Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Prospect Capital full-time for more than 8 years

Pros

*Hunger to succeed in the business remains top priority for the benefit of our shareholders, portfolio company employees, and our own families. *Ongoing dialogue with managers about work substance,... allocation, feedback, and others topics of concern to the employee. *Clearly-defined objectives; collaborative effort to meet those objectives. *Colleagues support one another. *Managers have been particularly supportive during COVID, instituting reasonable office/out-of-office arrangements, surveys to elicit employee input on best practices and approaches, and newsletters to keep employees better informed when they cannot necessarily see each other face to face.

Cons

*You have to be a self-starter, at least to a significant degree. Collaboration and support are ever-present, but you yourself have to start from a place of enthusiasm, capability, and knowledge --... and be ready to apply those attributes at every turn.
