Former Employee - Financial Sales Advisor

I worked at Prudential full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Benefits are top notch, had a fantastic manager and team, very supportive managing director.

Cons

Although I had a fantastic manager who was a true leader who helped change the culture, the other managers can be salesy and sleazy.

I have been working at Granada Insurance Company

Pros

Small family owned company. Senior management approaches each employee's concerns on a personal level. Management is very flexible, understanding. Good working atmosphere. Excellent retention and... employee longevity.

Cons

Senior management attempts to over-control and micro-manage every single function and process. Makes no allowance for individual initiative even when results are clearly positive.

Advice to Management

Be a little more open to suggestions from the file & rank crowd. Don't keep mid level staff out of the loop on company plans, changes or decisions that affect everybody.
