Former Employee - Executive Director

I worked at Prudential full-time

Pros

Chance to gain experience and take on a lot of responsibility

Cons

Location is not great but NYC is a big improvement

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Pie Insurance full-time for more than a year

Pros

Pie has all of the good elements of a startup. I have previously worked at both large companies and other startups. A startup job can be much more exciting since you really have the ability to make... a lasting impact... as long as the company is being built soundly. Pie is fast growing, collaborative, and fun. But the founders also really care about building a company that will last, not just a flash in the pan. I really enjoy collaborating with my teammates and seeing the company succeed.

Cons

Everyone always has way too much on their plate, but that is what you sign up for at a startup.

Advice to Management

Make sure not to take on too many things at once.
