Current Employee - Senior Vice President

I have been working at Publicis full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Perhaps its because its French owned, I do not have the sense I'm disposable like I felt when I worked for several US based companies, I truly have that sense of family and I'm highly valued by the... overall Groupe. Lots of opportunities to traverse and the company is open for internal transfers to other groups, assuming you performed well and left a good mark. There are lots of self interest mentalities, but amazingly, if you stay true to your core principles and place the company interest, ahead of your own, you 'will' rise above the self interest (yes here its true), may not happen immediately, but you will, give it time. There is much to learn in this ecosystem, so you will never get bored, so if your thirsty to learn new things, there is plenty!

Cons

The industry went from 15% of total media spend commissions to FTE, so margins have been pinched. The entire industry is slowly waning, courtesy of GOOGL, FB, AMZN, etc. Its challenging times but... with the key acquisitions in data and media ecosystem, that should reverse course. Not saying the golden age will come back, but the company is in a much better position to compete properly and capture profits.

Advice to Management

Accelerate the adoption of disruptive technologies and automation, even if automation results in lost jobs. Remove old school mind-sets who resist change. There is plenty of fat, seek out the fat... and reduce it down so we can be more nimble and quick to change.

Former Contractor - Anonymous Contractor

I worked at Publicis Touchpoint Solutions for more than a year

Pros

My manager was amazing! We worked as a team - our region and one on one - through sales successes & struggles. Insanely high level of collaboration and motivation. When we were laid off, every... manager helped us look for another contract or job.

Cons

It’s contract so they can and did cut us at anytime. Less vacation time.
