Pros

You are surrounded by like-minded individuals who can see the bigger picture for opportunity within an industry. You are a part of a business that is constantly evolving which means that the company... is in a healthy spot, from a business perspective. If you perform, you are acknowledged. If you over-communicate, its appreciated. If a day doesn't go your way, your co workers pick you up. The internal model of the company promotes a teach-others approach because the only way you can move up is if you help develop others, grow a team, and hit goals. This business requires grit, perseverance and self awareness. But it will help you develop these things if you don't necessarily have them.

Cons

This job holds you accountable. If you are responsible for developing people and you aren't able to help them succeed, that means you have some learning to do. There are hard conversations when... expectations aren't being met. Standards of employment are high and if you are unable to self-manage, you will weed yourself out. It just is what it is. You have a few weeks to gain momentum and are given the tools to learn, but you must seek out knowledge and guidance. If after several weeks, you are unable to keep up with top performers but you do not seek help, that's on you.

Advice to Management

Create the weekly schedule before Sunday night. Have another preemptive conversation about pay, benefits and schedule before someone starts so no one can say you were "hiding anything." Let junior... level leaders contribute more to daily meetings and strategies.
