Current Employee - Lead Biotech Production Specialist

I have been working at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals full-time for more than a year

Pros

Regeneron is a great place to work. They go above and beyond the typical employer by having BBQ's in the summer, bikes that can be rode around campus and a competitive salary. Regeneron is a... young company with great potential as they are growing tremendously.

Cons

Since the company is growing so quickly, management is starting to lose sight of their own employees.

Current Intern - Jessica Cosman Fellow

I have been working at Relay Therapeutics for less than a year

Pros

Access to some of the most brilliant minds in drug discovery - both on the science and administrative side. The company is small and the community is close-knit allowing people to interact closely... across disciplines and learn things outside their field. As an intern this was a great opportunity to do a deep dive into scientific knowledge, but it also gave me a chance to explore the different facets of drug discovery. Everyone is really open to sharing their craft and learning about what you do as well. The company goes out of their way to create these opportunities outside the social space. It has also been an amazing networking opportunity!

Cons

Because the company is so young and growing so fast, there are a number of growing pains. Although there is an active effort to identify these issues and address them as quickly as possible, they do... arise. For example, parts of the lab are poorly organized and it is difficult to find things as a new employee (this issue is actively being looked into by various groups to try and reorganize the lab).

Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing, and especially continue looking into where things can improve and where people need asssistance.
