Current Employee - Software Engineer

I have been working at Revenue Analytics full-time

Cons

Sometimes work on very tight deadlines Some teams have no work from home policy

Current Employee - Senior Software Engineer

I have been working at Mailchimp full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

* Evolving culture, generous benefits, meaningful work From my first interview, I could tell that Mailchimp is different. The culture that is portrayed is exactly what you end up experiencing... working here. The onboarding team is thorough in making sure that you are integrated with all areas of the company and welcomed. Most importantly, this is my one and only experience with a company (and engineering team) that value humility. There is no expectation of perfection; only that you work honestly and openly. As a mid-level engineer, this allowed me to ask questions, to not be afraid, and to know that failure is okay. Day-to-day there are great opportunities for feature work, and training benefits as well. Work-life balance is accounted for, and everyone in the company is there to help you succeed. (There are many internal roles available if you would like to explore different areas of engineering too)

Cons

It may be hard to leave once you are a part of the Mailchimp team; other roles may pale in comparison!

Advice to Management

Continue to empower employees at all levels of the organization and maintain transparency. Great progress has been made over the years, and I look forward to seeing what the future brings.
