Current Employee - Territory Manager

I have been working at Reynolds American full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Reynolds does a great job of being open and transparent on how to accomplish win-win for the employees and the company. You are awarded significantly for your contributions to the company...9%... contributions to your 401k, cell phone allowances, hi speed allowances, several weeks of vacations based on your tenure with the company, yearly bonuses and competitive pay...also a company vehicle. The BAT partnership sets the company up for transforming the tobacco category. This has been a constant message since I have been with the company. Senior management does listen to employee surveys and adjusts where needed.

Cons

New brand launches, and everyday changes can make the workload challenging. However we have been working on planning, and prioritizing our efforts to ensure that all goals are met.

Advice to Management

Continue to be open to hearing from employees and make adjustments when needed. Be mindful of the workload - for example signing contracts while bringing in a new brand along with transforming the... vapor section is a lot at one time.

Pros

I have been with Hanesbrands a little over a year working at their corporate office in North Carolina. I began my career at Hanesbrands as a temporary employee and was hired on full time after only 3... months. Hanesbrands has a positive culture and promotes personal growth offering numerous courses on campus focused on improving technical skills as well as soft skills. Tuition reimbursement is also offered if you are looking to further or begin your education. Hanesbrands also is dedicated to its veterans and has a dedicated group to provide an outlet for their vets. Being an Army veteran and apart of this group has been a delight. This group helps with professional development, giving back to the community, and allows us to swap stories from the glory days! Hanesbrands also gave me the opportunity to be an advocate for the company at a veteran MBA recruiting event held in Chicago.

Cons

My commute is close to 45 minutes.
