Current Employee - Systems Engineer

I have been working at SAIC full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Lots of opportunity to move up and competitive pay.

Cons

Health insurance is not great.

Current Employee - Leader

I have been working at Benchling full-time for less than a year

Pros

I've been part of "mission driven" culture before, but this is a different level of focus and passion. The individuals are all so intelligent, hard-working, and collaborative! I'm very impressed... with the continued high level of hires we have brought in. I also think the cultural norms of open communication, process building, sharing wins and gratitude for others really plays well with that mission. We are all clearly working towards goals for our customers and for the org!

Cons

I don't see cons, other than that we are growing so fast and keeping up with that is always a challenge.

Advice to Management

I think the issue, down the road, will be about scale. How do we take this great culture and high bar and keep it moving as we expand by scores of people every quarter? It's a clearly understood... problem and is being looked at constantly to try to form the right processes. Management advice : keep focusing on building a stable infrastructure with the right tools and systems.
