I have been working at SAIC full-time for more than a year
You will be paid generously along with housing and a rental car to sit around and run a few problems a day. You get to immerse yourself in the aviation community. If you're trained and proficient in... your duties your manager will have your back and defend your honor like you are her own child. Boss include our RPO feedback in meetings making the training system progress efficiently as a whole. The rest of your co workers are relatively chill.
There is no rhyme or reason to the work being done. There are 3 different contractors there all serving the same customer (the FAA) working the same objective and can be extremely and bureaucratic.... There Isn't a schedule relayed to us for the day so no one knows exactly whats going on until boss comes in to herd us off expeditiously . Plans change like the weather there. Boss tends to forget her set rules for us often contradicting herself when it suits her.
Advice to Management
Keep your employees informed of information you receive pertaining to us when you find out. We have lives too and need reasonable time to plan. Relax and let people speak and get their point across... before interrupting. Do not let your positional/personal power get to your head. Keep your personal emotions out of the workplace environment. The amount of love and empathy you have for your employees is unmatched and despite my statement above I've learned so much from her and She was the best boss I have ever had.
