Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at SAIC full-time

Pros

Important military job protecting US assetts

Cons

Not much room to grow as an employee.

Advice to Management

Provide outside training to provide employees to grow and become knowledgeable in advancement in career. provide manager skills training.

Current Intern - Business Development

I have been working at eXplain for less than a year

Pros

Fast-paced work environment: New / different tasks arise (almost) everyday which makes the work stimulating and fun. Taking over responsiblity: Commitment and willingness to learn are rewarded... with the freedom to work independently on (big) tasks and bring in own suggestions and ideas. Supportive atmosphere: Opportunity to learn from and discuss with experienced managers who take feedback and your development seriously. Hierarchical and departmental structures cannot be felt during daily interaction with co-workers which makes it easy to approach and talk to others in the office. Integration and collaboration is facilitated through weekly / monthly (in)formal team meetings.

Cons

Rather a heads up than a minus: The nature of company and work require flexibility, proactivity and open-mindedness. If you tend to pay attention to detail, you might sometimes struggle with the... 'done is better than perfect' attitude that comes along with the fast-paced working environment.
