Current Employee - Media Coordinator

I have been working at SGV & Co. full-time for more than a year

This company is making efforts every day to make this place a cool and fun work environment. I'm learning a lot. They offer free snacks and drinks during the day. It's a dog friendly office. The... people are nice for the most part. The office has a parking valet. I live near downtown and the office is close so I don't have a long commute. They are experts in podcasting and I'm learning a lot about that. I think podcasting is going to be a big deal in the next few years so learning about how they work and how to advertise in the podcasts is good.

It's pretty busy. Their business is growing quickly and so we are all working hard. That's not a bad thing but we are all pretty busy every day. The pay could be better. They are trying to do... more company wide meetings which is good because sometimes the staff doesn't know what is going on.

Advice to Management

Keep making the changes you are making. I've heard that the old culture was pretty tough but I think you are on the right path. People seem pretty happy to work there. Do more company wide... meetings so the staff knows what is happening. Pay increases as the company grows.

Not quite Wolf of Wallstreet but the things you learn here can make you a better person period. It's all knowledge things that people pay thousands of dollars for given to you by people with... experience from all levels. When you can have schedule an interview with a person that has made over a million dollars and pick their brain for free I feel like that's more valuable than a lot of things that exist on this earth. Yeah not everyone likes sales or is even good at it at first but in the end if you can just keep that upward motion you have all the opportunity in the world to change your life.

Long hours and lots of temptation for those in relationships. Pretty people making beautiful money beware of the jungle.
