I have been working at SPAWAR full-time
Pros
Every other Friday off 4 day weekends are rather common Work is pretty laid back Not very stressful Work environment is very friendly and located right next to the water
Cons
Takes forever to get anything done Not a lot of motivation to get things done quickly Work is not very challenging Technology seems rather old and outdated, nothing really state of the art Salary... is quite low
