Featured Review

Former Employee - Intern - Hourly

I worked at Simpson Strong-Tie full-time for less than a year

Pros

Learned a lot from different fields

Cons

Really tired if you work in the lab

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Tilson Homes full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

It's nice working for a company with family values and to never worry about being asked or expected to violate one's morals or ethics. Tilson publishes its values and holds its team members to those... standards the best it can. The business environment is friendly and very family oriented.

Cons

Strategic vision is a challenge for all organizations, and Tilson is no exception. Getting an 85 year old organization that has weathered turbulent economic times (Great Depression, 80's Real Estate... Crash, Great Recession) being very conservative to plan aggressively for growth is tough.

Advice to Management

Continue to prudently chase things outside Tilson's comfort zone and be open to business opportunities from the team.
