Former Employee - Recruiting Coordinator

I worked at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Great place to work with the smart people on both the attorney and start side. Well compensated for the position

Cons

High pressure - always an expectation to work hard since the attorneys are working hard.

Current Employee - Paralegal

I have been working at Moore & Lee full-time for more than 8 years

Pros

Overall, I highly recommend working at Moore & Lee. I enjoyed my time as a paralegal. It was challenging but rewarding at the same time. You will learn the ins and outs of the various stages... of litigation at Moore & Lee, including from the filing of the Complaint, through the discovery process and even through trial. The partners are approachable and willing to listen to any questions you may have regarding assignments. Once you show you can do good work, the partners will continue to give you more responsibility and new challenges. If you work efficiently, you absolutely can have a good work/life balance. The firm also offers great benefits, such as medical/dental, profit sharing and merit bonuses.

Cons

Moore & Lee is a litigation firm, so there are times when work may be demanding and stressful. For example, preparing for or participating in trial can be a lot of work. However, when those... busy times occur, they are cognizant of your extra effort and compensate you accordingly. Those times also provide you with invaluable experience.
