Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Smithers Group full-time

Pros

A large company with a small feel, access to upper management, fun environment, room for growth and the company invests in their employee's growth, good benefits

Cons

no flex time, maternity leave is not ideal

Former Intern - Biology Technician

I worked at Smithers Viscient for less than a year

Pros

Opportunities to be involved in research Opportunities to lead by example Opportunities to learn new skills Opportunities to have overtime Opportunities to travel the country Opportunities for... personal growth Opportunities to take pride in hard work

Cons

Pettiness, waivers, laziness, cowardice, dishonesty; toxic environment both literally and figuratively.

Advice to Management

Do not punish integrity Discourage workers from complaining about another worker without first approaching said worker about the complaints.
