none
I worked at Hyde Group full-time
Pros
Christmas party, however hourly paid staff do not get to join in so have to pay for their own.
Cons
Managers have no idea how to run a business. Staff do what ever they want. None of the work is done properly, and no one cares about their job. Directors get big bonuses twice a year (enough to buy... brand new £80,000 cars) and rest of staff don't even get a thank you, let alone the 1% pay rise they are promised every year. Clique culture as 80% of staff are related or in relationships, if you're not in the family you are a target. Reporting incidents do not get taken seriously, in fact, you get laughed at-even incidents of harassment. Managers expect minimum paid staff to start work hours earlier and stay hours after they are supposed to with NO over time, NO pay and NO time back, if you cannot do extra hours for free you are made to feel like your job is at risk. Shop floor staff behave how they want to and never get warnings. There are safety issues everywhere, extractions and air filters were never properly cleaned or checked so people are left to breathe in carcinogenic chemicals all day unknowingly. You are expected to go above and beyond for people who would happily dance on your grave. If you are someone who cannot stand up for themselves you will have absolutely no chance working here as you will get walked all over. If you are someone who will stand up for themselves, they will show you the door faster than you can say good morning.
Advice to Management
Stop pitting staff against one another. Directors- hire managers who can actually manage and lead staff in the right direction instead of dictating. Stop blatantly flashing your bonuses around to... the people you don't even pay an adequate wage to. Don't advertise jobs as competitive salary when you will pay the absolute minimum you can get away with.
