Current Employee - Director of Recruitment & Human Resources

I have been working at One Way Wireless Construction full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

This company has been in business since 1977 and I've been here since 2013. I was welcomed to the Company and have felt very comfortable since. I am challenged each day with something new and am... able to rely on my previous professional experience to handle various things which come my way. I also learn something new every day in an effort to improve and be more beneficial to the employees I work for. I enjoy working with many field employees as I spend a great deal of time staring at a computer screen sourcing candidates and checking out benefits to ensure we have a strong compensation package for current and future employees. Recruiting Tower Climbers, Journeyman Electricians and other Field Workers is fun and exciting, but, it also has a lot of challenges simply because they're out in the field working; however, through various online and physical recruitment efforts, I am lucky to find some really great candidates! I thrive on being able to meet so many people, listen to what they're looking for in a new employment opportunity and then sharing things about One Way. I am supported in my position at One Way and have great, solid working relationships with everyone here.

Cons

We've recently moved our office to Shakopee and I added about 15 minutes to my commute; however, though this is not a total downfall, I did like the shorter drive, to Edina yet, the extra time gives... me time to reflect or prepare for my day. Yes, that sounds a bit perfect answer; however, I do not have anything negative to say about One Way, if I did, an online board would not be the place to do it if I wanted a true resolution. There's a 5 word minimum requirement for this section; however, rather than writing something trivial, I thought I'd at least address my commute. Anything more substantial as far as a con and I would not work here OR as stated earlier, I'd address it with someone who could make a change.

Advice to Management

Continue to do as you've done and continue to improve as necessary....
