Current Employee - Quality Engineer

I have been working at Stryker full-time for less than a year

Pros

Work culture is good. Some things like working remotely in my Quality department is a good benefit whenever needed. The management leadership looks pretty good. The pay-scale is good and the work... hours are flexible. The work is not physically demanding but it can mentally demanding during the deadlines. I work in the Orthopedics Spine division.

Cons

Holidays are few in a year due to Stryker's work policies. It does not directly hires immigrants. Most of the work is all documentation and Excel stuff in the Quality Environment. So, if you don't... like documentation stuff much, then this job is not a good fit for the person. Career progress can be slow for contractors.

Advice to Management

Stryker is integrating some divisions which cannot be discussed here. The progress is moving on a slow pace. A lot of integration stuff needs serious dedication and a long time commitment which is... not yet met. I saw a frequent shift in the roles at managerial position too often .

I have been working at W.L. Gore full-time for less than a year

Pros

Company Culture is a Refreshing Change! Gore is really a unique place to work - different from most companies out there. It's an environment where you are set up for success and encouraged to reach... your potential - and continue to grow. A stable company to feel secure in - very diversified with product offerings... if one area of business happens to be slow, there is always another area that is making the money.

Cons

Technology is an area for opportunity compared to other organizations similar in size.
